  • went here with my school once. i remember being yelled in the old school at for being left handed.

  • @JKoscheck They yelled at you for being left handed? A bit rough. I'm left handed too.

  • Wow, I just found my ad linked in Wikipedia. Cool.

  • By the time I got there (in the 1990s) it was run down and there weren't any actors walking around. I seem to remember most of the buildings being closed as well. I'd heard so many good things and was sooo disappointed.

  • We went there about 1 year before it closed (filmed it too!). True almost all of the huts/buildings were closed up, and many of the classic routines discontinued (remember the convicts' escape from the habour ship?), but there were still a few actors walking around. Of course nowhere near as good as it was in the early 80s.

I have a clip of digital photos I took from this visit, on my other channel GrubcoMedia.

  • do you have the African Safari World ad?

  • African Lion Safari? Yes I do. It hasn't been posted yet, but I'll bump it to the next lot of uploads.

  • I loved Old Sydney Town so much we used to go at least once a year in primary school w my afterschool/holiday centre (mid 90-late 90's) so diassapointed it's closed.

OST & Sussanah Place were my favourite places to go as a child. I liked how they showed you the life of the average person / child. -3 -3

  • ohh, i only found out they closed this place down years ago. i remember going there for a school excursion in primary school and being yelled at in the classroom for my writing not being straight enough, lol.

  • @JKoscheck wipped with those leaves too? hahah mad memories

  • Aah this was a wonderful place. Shame, like everyhting else, the govt decided to stop funding and let the place rot.

  • This place was awesome, I got abused in that classroom for asking to go to the toilet, those were the days.

  • i remember this commercial...very nice...thx 4 the memories :-)

  • what the hell happened to Sydney?? It's bloody boring with nowhere to take your kids with all these good theme parks shut (old sydney town, water works, wonderland). The place has become shit.

  • Just think if they did something like this now you would have to have boats with people throwing the kids overboard, Throwing there passports overboard, or showing demo's on how to make there boats breakdown. You could of had a building display but that would have been for the first show only as it would have been burnt to the ground.

I think as growing up as kids we had the better times with all these different things out there.

  • @GrubcoTV3

yes, it was all a part of the act though. being left handed back in the 1700's was looked at upon being evil for some reason.
