You have to practice hours on end, every single day to get this good. Tutors can make the process faster, but they can only take you that far. Everyone can become this good, it's just some people can get a hang of it faster, while others have to slog a bit more.

@Dalen77 Just to get his out of the way, Jim is using a "Lead Holder" or "Drafting Pencil".

I think the brand he's using is Sandford, But if your accustomed to drawing with a regular pencil I'd recommend a "Fix Pencil 77", they're about 8 dollars more than a Sandford brand but feel better in your hand in way(at least for me anyways).

But its not about the pencil, its about the person using it; remember that folks!
