  • Did you get this resolved? Just curious what has happened with this? Did you send this video to the FCC?

  • Its a lot better than what it was. Florida Power And Light hired Mike Martin of RFI services to help resolve the problems. He was here for a few days but it only took him 15 minutes to find what FPL couldnt find for several years. That being said FPL did work on 30 - 45 different poles that had issues. Sometimes i have noise but most of the time its quiet. When ever i spoke to the FCC i always referenced links to the videos here on youtube. The FCC was actively involved. Thanks for asking.

  • I've been battling my elec provider for 8 years to cure the emi or rfi - but man, mine is nothing compared to that demonstration. Could you make a video outlining what you've done to try and get the proveder to take care of the problem? How about what you've done yourself to try and reduce it a bit...? I'd be very interested, to add your experiences to my "fight kit" for AmerenUE here in St. Louis. Don't give up...

  • The best thing is to keep all contacts to the power company documented. Next if you are not a licensed Amateur you might want think about getting your ticket and joining ARRL. Then you have some real support from the ARRL, and the FCC. I gave my power until January 1st. I am going to send my letters to the FCC and the Florida Public Service commission. THis should get them moving. Good luck!

  • @k4pro Well awesome job at getting the evidence. Good job on working with FP&L and the FCC.

  • 4-9-11 Did you get it solved?? HOW? I have the same thing in my house and it is driving me nuts. Even when I flip off the breaker boxes, there is still the hummmmm, a little less, but still buzzing. I turned off the gas at the meter, just to check, and I know it's not the water. What can i do?? my country cabin is a buzz. what a bummer. There is an old antennea going up the side of the house, I wonder about that, cable doesn't go to anything,,,I don't know.

  • What a shame. You should try to get the FCC involved.

  • Same kind of powerline noise at KA4UDX and I've put some videos on here as well. I'm alanspicertelecom.

Some wag would probably say Hey you could just crank up that amplifier ... why you need to hear through the noise. Just transmit all power and someone with like power will talk to you. Any band (that's open anyway) :-) Hi Hi.

  • Exactly the same here on 80m and 40m. 20m is just about useable. 73 - Rob VK2GOM - Sydney, Australia.
