these motors are junk, and sound like shit. they perfected the 4.3 over what, like 15 years? they should have just modded it a bit more, it has tons of potential.

Just bought a 2010 with the i5 and it blows my fathers 4.3 away. I'm glad they didn't put the 4.3 in the Colorado.

U peeps that still swoon for the 4.3 need to see the facts.... 35 more hp and lbs of torque with the I5... look it up if you think I'm kiddin. These Inline 5's get off the line like a bat out of hell!!

they replaced them for more horsepower and better fuel economy. they did sound nice though
