@whyteay phil collins is drumming, and steve hackett is on guitar ...who i believe was only in the band for 2 months at this point! the photo above is banks, rutherford, gabriel, collins, hackett... and i believe, richard macphail, who was their tour manager at the time.
Who was the drummer at the time this was recorde? Was it Mayhew, who played on the Trespass album. Also, in the picture there are 6 people, I think both Phillips and Hackett who indirectly replaced him are there - were they both temporarily in the band at the same time?
Yeah, that's a leitmotif of the future "Lilywhite Lilith" there at the beginning...Thanks for the early Genesis facts, dummytree. Appreciated! And thx for posting, genesisbeatleswhofan!
@zenpaganwarrior Amazing! I had no idea. I think it was one of their first ever shows outside of England too."Trespass" did pretty well in Belgium at the time (how it came about I don't know!), then their success spread in Italy (a country that was very much into prog-rock...van Der Graaf was number one there, crazy!) and then in France I think.

Awesome early recording! Thanks for posting. That's a Lamb Lies Down melody (partly) back in '71. Wow.
