@BluesRockReign - That's a pretty cool story. Thanks for sharing. My version is that my first crush was on a trumpet player in 7th grade. We used to listen to these tunes together. Cheers.

I remember my parents having this album when I was four or five. I especially remember the album cover being one of the first times I appreciated the female form. Still have a strange fascination with whipped cream to this day.

Good stuff. My dad did not go for much in music, but this was one he had. Hearing this is as an adult makes me wish I played a wind instrument.

HA&TB makes me think of baseball games at the Astrodome. They would play their music on the PA system before the games.

Wonderful! As a kid, I just wanted to be covered in ALL THAT WHIPPED CREAM!

In South Florida we had an amusement park called Pirates World. It was a place where kids would get jazzed on salt water taffy, shoot moving ducks with a 22 rifle, ride a Rat Race roller coaster and other stuff while Herb Albert music played all day long.
I was in junior high when this album came out. Alpert's band followed by Chicago and Blood Sweat and Tears brought wind instruments back to popular music. BTW, who is the girl on the album cover? She looks like Kathy Ireland but Kathy would have only been about 5 when the album came out.

When I was 10 years old my parents got me my first record player, and this album. They had no idea of what a 10 year in 1965 would want, but the fact that they made the attempt was, even then, all I needed, and I've loved this album ever since. Thanks so much for posting.
