"Beauty" is a made-for-TV movie which originally aired on CBS in 1998 but often plays now on the Lifetime Movie Network. A very romantic, modern day re-telling of "Beauty and the Beast," it stars Janine Turner as a young painter named Alix Miller. As per a long history of family tradition, Alix is commissioned to paint the portrait of Lee Crompton, a reclusive millionaire. But when she arrives at his mansion, she discovers the reason for his self-isolation... A must-see for anyone who loves romance!

DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of the rights to this movie or any of the music featured! It was originally distributed by Citadel Entertainment in association with Grand Productions and was distributed by the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS.) All rights for the film go to them.

EDIT: For all those wondering, the name of the song at the end (which also plays earlier in the film) is called "What The Heart Sees." It was written for this movie by Geoff Levin, Johnny Pierce and Joanna Adair Christensen-Pierce. It was sung by Vanessa Griaziano, who has been gracious enough to leave comments on these videos. I believe this is her MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/vanessagraziano The song is not available for purchase anywhere, to the best of my knowledge. Just another one of the under-appreciated aspects of this movie!

  • Does anyone know the name of the last song played in the movie. I've searched everywhere and I can't find it! It's so beautiful and just perfect. This movie is one of my all time favorites. It makes me believe and want to fall in love! Thank you so much lamllemaussade.

  • @AnnieBanana978 I would give you the link to Ms. Graziano's MySpace page, but YouTube won't let me put links in, even if I try to disguise it. :-\

Anyway, the song is not available for purchase anywhere, to the best of my knowledge. Just another one of the under-appreciated aspects of this movie!

  • This is a film for women who really know what true love is all about.....Thanks. (I'll probably watch it again!)

  • @ MrsJosephMerrick Glad you liked it! I watch it every winter around the holidays, and sometimes a few times in between during the year haha. It is a wonderful movie! I even like it better than the book on which it was based, which is rare for me.

  • @lamllemaussade what's the book called? i'd like to read it please.

  • @iamsarahjo The book is also called Beauty and was written by Susan Wilson. It's a great book, but it is a little different than this TV adaptation (namely, the ending is not so happy). Just a heads up!

  • Loved the movies, It made me cry. I liked how she painted him and what he said that she had painted him at the exact moment that he had fallen in love. I love romantic movies!

  • "You painted the moment...the exact moment...when I fell in love with you." Ohhhh...*sniffle*...I absolutely love that line. It didn't just tug at my heartstrings...it ripped those suckers right out!

  • beauty is on the inside. Then everything comes naturally on the outside. Loved this movie.

    Shelley Monson Sanches.

  • thank you for this movie. i love it.

  • I really enjoyed this movie it tells you no matter how you look you can always find someone who doesn't care how you look on the outside but what matters how you are on the inside

  • @lamllemaussade I saw the movie, you did a good thing uploading it but the thumbnail you picked for this final video shows what the drawing was all about.

  • this taught me how shallow i indeed am. :( I was hoping for a makeover- at least a haircut!

  • Words can't even describe how this movie has affected me. I cried my eyes out after watching it and called my boyfriend and spent then next hour telling him how much I love him and what not.

That's what life is about though...seeing the beauty inside of people. If we all did that, we would all see what we were missing.

  • what a wonderful movie! i never saw it before!!! ty for posting it!!!!!

  • @lamllemaussade thank you so much. there are always differences between books and their movies i'll just have to not compare them in my head =]
