Learning Latin with Virgil is a new and original Latin video series. I hope to bring you engaging, effective and regular lessons to enhance your knowledge and enjoyment of Latin. In this series, the emphasis is on understanding the Latin you read, not on translating it. The course centers around the characters and the stories of the great epic work of Virgil, the Aeneid. You may like to check out the sister series, The Aeneid of Virgil, also available on the TuTubusLatinus channel.

I'm reading Donatus and I realized that in his work of grammar (354 A.D), he writes twice letter "u" in words like "nominatiuus, genitiuus, datiuus, accusatiuus, uocatiuus, ablatiuus. Later on, The Romans saw the difference and changed the first letter "u" into "v" . It is taught to us that the sound of "v" must be pronounced "u". In my opinion, the rule for the distinction of the sound for lack of a letter in Donatus was: before a vowel the first letter "u" should always be pronounced "v".

does 'per' mean also 'along' as in "per silvam" 'along the road"?

I was thinking the same thing. A little bit shy and awkward joke. Funny stuff.

This sentence stumped me: "ego et Aegeus una regnabimus". My guess is "Aegeus and I will reign together". Is that correct?
