.Define the question- We all love money. How come it always has to be dirty? Old age or abuse you might add? How can we restore dirty old money? Do we need to go and buy an expensive chemical kit to clean our precious metals? Cant we simply use harmless household items that will not harm our breathing space and environment?
.Gather information and resources- From my internet research I Googled a product called Tarn-x. Tarn-x contains several harsh chemicals. So I researched and came up with a similar and or a more greener solution to solve this dilemma. I want to attempt to use salt as an abrasive scrubbing solution, and some vinegar as the cleaning chemical.
.Form hypothesis- My theory for this experiment is using simple household items that are a lot less costly as well as being a much more greener solution towards the environment, and it should have the same performance and outcome as the store bought chemical.
.Performance and outcome- Heres what I will need to conduct the experiment: one drinking glass, white distilled vinegar, iodized table salt, tweezers and a corroded dirty old penny. To begin the experiments I must first take my glass add 2 parts vinegar to 1 part salt. Next I will use the tweezers to submerge my dirty penny into my solution. Ill wait 30 seconds for the chemical reaction to take place. I will then stir the penny around the glass gently to use the salt as an abrasive to clean the penny.
.Analyze data- From what Ive examined the solution has cleaned the filthy penny and made it shining new.
.Conclusion- My conclusions were I would have a dirty penny or a clean penny. Hopefully this ingenuous solution will turn out successful.
.Result- As a result we have a shining new clean-looking penny. The experiment was a success
