Short Gliding Flight in Club Astir

Short, and disappointing flight in a Club Astir, when the sky looked like there should have been strong thermals everywhere. :( This is my third flight in the single seat glass glider. There was one spot in the video I should have probably turned and tried to stay with what little bit of lift, but with that sky, I thought there should have been a lot better lift around...
...or not.

Nice video, I would have been inclined to turn right of the winch and head for the sunny side of the large cloud at your two oclock, there look as though there was lift under it.

@lhitchins There is a farm house just to the south (left) of the winch, which usually has a thermal above it, but looking at that sky, there should have been thermals all over the place. I should have stayed with that first little one that I found.

maybe you should have center the first lift to get 1 m/sec, I think it wouldn't be bad with this weather contitions
