BSL: Pit Bulls

"BSL - WHAT IS IT?

Breed-specific legislation (BSL) is designed to place restrictions on ownership of certain breeds of dogs. Typically, the restricted breeds include pit bull-type dogs (usually vaguely defined), followed by Rottweilers. Other breeds may include German Shepherds, Chow Chows, Presa Canarios, Dobermans, Cane Corsos, Huskies, Boxers, and mixes of these.

Breed-specific legislation creates a number of restrictions or regulations on any one breed. Owners of certain breeds of dogs may be required to:
-Keep the dog muzzled in public
-Purchase insurance for the dog
-Keep the dog on its owner's property at all times (no trips to the park, the store, etc.)
-Keep the dog in a specific enclosure at all times.

The most common kind of breed-specific legislation completely bans all dogs of a certain breed. This means that all dogs of the banned breed must be removed from the area or euthanized."- www.stopbsl.com

this video had me in tears. I love pitbulls so much. I have 2 and they are great. If someone came to me and tried to take my dogs off to be put to sleep, they'd have to kill me first. I wouldn't give them up without a fight. They'd do the same for me. Pitbulls are amazing dogs. Watch my pitbull videos too. :) I've got pics of all the pits I've had in the past few years.

Thanks for posting this video. Im a shelter volunteer with a background in criminal justice. I socialize pit bulls every time I volunteer. I've never had a problem with aggressiveness, never been bitten. I just walked an 8 month old the other day whom I had never seen and she was very sweet. If you raise the pit to be social they will be, if you raise them to fight that's what they will do. ITS THE OWNER, NOT THE BREED YOU IGNORANT FOOLS!

My mother and I have rescued 14 pit bulls since I was about 5. Some we kept, others we fostered and gave to caring homes. Not a single one of them was vicious. We've had my 13 year old pit, Buster, since he was two weeks old and he gets along with children, cats, other dogs, everyone. It's all about how these powerful dogs are raised. They're the most loving creatures and I wouldn't share my own bed with these dogs if it were any other way. Gotta love ignorant America. :)

Ok. let's back up here on "...the truth remains the same". Truth? What TRUTH?!! Or do you mean your idea? In a sense it's the truth - about how you feel and see me as, no doubt. But in point of fact it's a mere judgment call. Or more politely put a two-bit goddamn opinion yet to be meaningfully proven & not assumed. So let's not get so arrogant and sure of our guruism as to confuse objective truth with unexamined unfounded notions that YouTube is a flamming hot bed for. Do I hear a click?

Cuzz deep down inside folks like u need beast like us to be & remain as such with weak wittle minds 4 u to feel superior & mentally in top shape. Otherwise who would be around for u to look down on when you're feeling a bit uhh...err...unimportant? Anything else you like to ad to enlarge your denouncement of me and make u feel extra better about yourself? I't seems that folks like you need "weak" people around for objects of comparisons to put you all in a positive light. I've come to understand long ago that it's a self-serving practice for ego gratification. But mind you, I really don't give a damn to compete with anyone in strengths and abilities. So yeah, what else you've got to say while your criticism is on the roll?
