1st test of the robot. The robot is being driven from my computer upstairs which is connected to the robot via joystick control and a webcam so the operator can see and hear from the robot's point of view. Right now, the robot is still extremely slow and difficult to drive because the motors are not geared down correctly. Once we get the gearing ratios down, it will be able to carry more weight (including the laptop platform which was removed in this demo due to weight) as well as an additional battery. The robot should also be able to drive in carpet as well as hardwood floor.
