At the beginning, Bourdais let Junqueira go for P1. The first corner shows a Bourdais - Tracy contact. Tracy spun and been thrown back down in the pack. Then the party began at first raindrop, Junqueira almost lost it, but Bourdais spun in the wall. Too much rain, race been red flagged for a while. At restart, Salo spun in front of Manning. Tracy was running hard and he been involved in another incident. This time he touch Moreno rear left tire, Moreno spun, Tracy run into Moreno and Moreno goes into Tagliani (Domino). Manning been caught right behind Tracy. Tracy did get out in style by running back on Manning's car and hit Tagliani while spinning hard. Nice try! Haberfeld did a beautiful 360. Then surprise, Junquiera lost its championship hopes in the wall. At the end, this was all Reynard's cars upfront with Hunter-Reay, Manning and Vasser. Paul Tracy clinches the 2003 Champ Car championship. This summary stands 04 minutes 00 second. Music: Evanescence -- Bring Me To Life.

2nd last victory for my brand Reynard ,,,i did not know at 2003 that in 2 years i turn into the last owner. of the CHAMP CAR Reynard rights designs and drawings ! ... i tried to create a DREAM THaT NEVER CAME TRUE.

I would have chosen a different song but the last line of the chorus, "Save me from the nothing I've become", is appropriate for Ryan Hunter-Reay because his season, apart from a 3rd place at Mid-Ohio, had been disastrous. That win fortunately saved him from becoming nothing.

Also by then, unfortunately, CART had become nothing (just about). Most of the top teams and drivers had defected to the IRL, leaving Tracy to duel the Newman-Haas boys and whoever else rose to the occasion.
