  • I know some MN people and they are cool people. This one guy was trying to be a dick about it and he sounded nothing like MN.

  • Wow. Apparently no one has met a real country boy from MN.

  • He is actually from Minnesota. I am standing just outside the twin cities when I recorded this. I don't see how people keep saying it's a fake accent.

  • And then notice he does nothing. Like a true Minnesotan.

  • You guys are nuts. This guy is actually from MN. Some people actually got it that bad. And yes a hick from MN. Dontcha know.

  • Awww. you'll be ok.

  • everyone from the twin cities freaks out when people say we have accents. i'm from mn too. the twin city area. obviously the people in the cities don't talk like that but if you go up north like near fargo, roseau, warroad, international falls, etc. then yeah they really do have accents like this. some worse. so to the people commenting below i think you just need to calm down. why does it matter if people say you have an accent?

  • I'm in Kansas, so alla yall can suck it!

  • @benjafisha1 you're from Boston

  • I'm from southern Minnesota and we sound like Canadians to people from Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois. I'm proud of my accent, Not as strong as this guys though. Minnesota for the win. Shorts and t shirts in 30 degree weather for the win,

  • @ndfightingsioux agreed went to UND from 2003 to 2004 and met plenty of people from the Iron range.... I am from minneapolis and i sound like most people from other small cities, with a bit of MN in there..... aye

  • I live and work in the South. I get pegged as a Yankee as soon as I open my mouth to speak. And when I'm home in MN, or talking on the phone, I can't even understand them some times, and they tell me I have a good Southern drawl going. My grandma had a parrot that had a hilariously thick Finnish accent from living and interacting with mostly just grandma. Accents shouldn't matter, and if they don't like your accent, tell 'em to go pound sand.

  • Someone has been chewing on Yellow Highlighters.

  • I'm wearing the same fuckin hat, and steel toes right now... YEEEAAA BUDDY

  • @BigBadBoots1 Yes, you are correct. Minnesota is filled with lots of Swedes, Fins, and Norwegian immigrants... which influenced our accent.. basically a Minnesota accent is a hybred of northern midwest (similiar to a canada) and scandinavian mixed together

  • I think that's adorable. :))))
