"The Seventh Sally or How Trurl's Own Perfection Led to No Good" is a science fiction short story by Stanisław Lem. Originally from "The Cyberiad" the adventures of the brilliant engineers Trurl and Klapaucius, it was included in "The Mind's I: Fantasies and reflections on self and soul" a 1981 book composed and arranged by Douglas R. Hofstadter and Daniel C. Dennett. It is a collection of essays and creations about the nature of the mind and the self, tied together with commentary by the editors.
"Victim of the Brain" is a 1988 docu-drama by Dutch director Piet Hoenderdos, loosely based on "The Mind's I" and includes this movie adaptation of Lem's "The Seventh Sally" here called "The Perfect Imitation".
