No glue on corners or bottom. It really is held together by 4 brass rods. The rods can be seen from the outside, as you see. I would be glad to tell you the steps to take.
As for a tutorial... I'm actually a videographer (being a finish carpenter for 25 years kind of helps) and could script my own interview and explain the tools needed, the sizes of all the side boards and the fact that there isn't one drop of glue connecting the corners. If those brass rods were pulled out it would come apart. Would that help you "dead2master"? Or anyone else?
I can agree with you about the skeleton key. That would be better. I always appreciate someone's comments. But time became a factor, how often do you have all the time in the world..., as the anniversary date was so soon and it had to be finished.
