I have a dalmatian who is now 2 1/2 and he's a big lump of love and spots...
My last one was X with a wiemeraner and lived to 17-I love them but they are not exactly the einstein of dogs FYI!

Lol, I read my email that the media is saying that Dalmatians are "crazy", what on earth for?
A bad dog or dalmatian, is typically from a bad owner (bad behaviour is not hereditary) it is taught - or a bad tempered Dalmatian may have agressive breeds that are not recommended as a family pets, mixed in with them.
Send the media my way - Millie will soon change their mind ;-)

Hey, I'm researching and thinking about getting a Dalmatian pup. How is your dog so far? I want opinions from actual Dal owners not the media.

Dalmatians have a good memory and do not forget discipline. I found the best way to stop "bitting" is to yelp so loud that it scares them and this way, Millie got the hint. I would also send her out into her yard for some solitude sometimes - which she really did not like.
After awhile when she calmed down, I would always bring her back inside and give her lots of affection so she did not dwell on being disciplined for very long.
