Orihime Inoue -Me & The Moon- V.2

Not a remake but ive tidied it up a little and added some new scenes in certain parts, the ending has been spiffed up.

When i heard this song i instantly thought of her. I think for a long time now Orihime has started to become distanced from the other characters. Shes harboring a lot of sadness, loneliness and depression but shes always putting up her smile so no one worries about her. Sometimes it does get too much for her and she'll open up to certain people, Rukia and Rangiku in particular but for this video i really wanted to put focus on that one night she had left on the surface.

The episode really brought it to life and i could only imagine what it would be like to have one night left and only person to say goodbye to (without them knowing). To be completely invisible and have no one in the world to talk to but your own thoughts of where you're going and what those people there might do to you.

Even though the moon isnt an actual entity, it does seem to have a bit of a connection to her lately. She spends all day at school with Ichigo and rukia. Its the one place where shes /really/ happy but when she comes home and the sun sets she starts thinking all these thoughts, hating herself, feeling useless and frustrated. Me & the Moon is just another way of saying 'I'm alone' but not in a boo hoo, poor me kind of way.

Of course the readers all know she isn't alone, people care about her and are on their way to take her back but without realizing it i think they're just making things worse for her. She went with Ulquiorra to keep them safe, she did it for them and now they're risking (and almost losing) the very lives she tried to protect just to get to her. I honestly couldn't even imagine how i would feel if i were in her position, knowing that and having the same amount of self esteem that she does. I'm guessing very badly indeed. To complicate things further, i think shes now realized the one thing she finally can do and that may very well mean turning down her friends request to come home and staying in Hueco Mundo, playing the part of Aizens puppet. Of course this is most likely what he planned all along, hes not stupid showing her the orb but thats another matter.

I really tried to get across Orihimes point of view in this instead of my own, or any of the other characters.

Amazing job on doing this amv. After watching this, I was crying for next hour, thinking about how Orihime's life is connected to our daily problems, mostly emotional. Most of your video induces watchers to think, to concider what is really important in life.

It's easy to see that you truly understand Orihime, her thoughts and feelings. That's good, I like when people don't watch Bleach just to see battles, blood and death. ^^

Yeah, I know, I'm weird, but that's just my opinion. ^^'

Thanks :) it means a lot to me when people can see them that way, i like to make stuff that makes you think as opposed to a few minutes of just flashy footage and a mainstream song. It may not be a popular style but its my style and its nice to see it effect others =D

While I love the vid, after listening to it again, I have to disagree with the song choice. The moon sections are great, but every other part of the song is just not her. She wouldn't ever do anything that the song says.

But still, the video was great! Good job on it! <3

I don't know what draws me to this video more than your other videos, just the way you portray the scenes to the music is amazing. And I just loooveee the song you choose!

I love your idea of using the moon. I've noticed it too and think Tite is making a strong comment about her. A sort of 'I'm going to shine soft light across the world so everyone can see but I won't outshine or burn anyone like the sun' type of thing. It would be something she'd do. The problem is, the moon gets its light from the sun the way Orihime's personality was created from being around so much death as a child. The soft, kind person she is comes from the very thing she hates: pain.

@Eosofthedawn i can see where you dont think that the lyric portion of this song is a bad choice. i mean its about a woman killing someone which hime would never do. but at the same time i think that the emotion behind the lyrics fit orihime perfectly. so yes the literal meaning isnt necessarily a good match, but the emotional meaning of the song and the style (i would say) is perfect :) just my opion
