Usually I don't mind XMA kinds of forms, but this did seem a little too much of dancing with some kicks.

martial arts is an art of self defense........exclusively to be used i combats..........and that strictly requires rage........extreme agression and control of the mind..........which every individual lacks.

sometimes seeing flashy things generates interest in the the tradition. Besides which, you usually have to have a pretty solid grip of your basics before attempting some of these fancy things. There's nothing wrong with what they are doing.

They havent washed down martial arts they have just made it less martial. It is still an art just in a different way.

no comparing music to martial arts is pointless. Comparing MARTIAL ARTS to extreme MARTIAL ARTS is a point. They've taken something that was already an art, washed it down to make it look fancy, and ruined the original concept.

XMA is not meant to be use in a fight. It is an art form. Saying it is pointless is like saying music is pointless because you cant kick some one with it.

extreme martial arts- spinning, fancy kicks, jumps- all useless in a real fight. If you cant use a technique for defence, it's not worth knowing.
