Linkin Park - The Catalyst (mix by Keaton Hashimoto)

My submission for the "Linkin Park, Featuring You" mix contest. As usual with my "remixes", I attempted to deviate away from the expected and compose something that did not represent the original song or emulate the band's original sound. Luckily, Linkin Park only released a couple stems from the original, so it made the process a lot easier. For the first time ever, the accompanying video was done in haste considering the importance of this contest is not based on visual but audio. I felt it wasn't necessary to produce a music video so thus, the video simply consists of a few accompanying visual pieces and a quick effect thrown in for good measure.

For those interested, I may release the instrumental version at a later date because I really like this composition and wouldn't mind sharing it.

On a personal note I want to thank the band for allowing the fans the chance to mix, re-imagine or simply butcher their work for our entertainment. Whether this is considered a winning entry or not doesn't matter; I'm glad to see other artists I enjoy listening to allowing their fans to openly mix and share their work to their heart's content.

@TheTimbalanders I did not do the soundtrack for 8 Bit Rebellion, but I did create 8-Bit Theory, which was inspired by 8 Bit Rebellion. :)

This is really good, but I think it would have been better longer and you left out my favourite part... =/ (The instrumental bridge between the "Will we burn inside the fires of a thousand suns?" verse and the "Lift me up, let me go" autro.)
