  • this is beautiful omg...here in america..whenever there is traditional dance for Somali culture there is nothing close to this...sad something like this not represent instead of booty shake

  • @Dabayare No Bro ! you just confuse the current postcolonial situation of somalia , but it is the opposite for this zaylici folk dance , even though they became muslim, the somalis were proud of the culture and they added "Hooyaale" a Somali name of God. Also ,the Hariimadee was invented for our own interest in order to struggle and hunt the foreigner invaders in the times of middle age in horn of africa . You could learn more about the history of somali culture in order to change your view

  • Masha'Allah !Famous Zaylici Somali Folk Dance from Djibouti RTD Radio Tivi Djibouti. Old memorable festival ! Thanks brother Hassan Ahmed for posting it ! Alxamdulillaah ,even,The enthronement of the 19th king of the Issa:Ugaas Roobleh has taken place in Zaylac. March,1, 2010.The video is in Youtube. The Issa tribe is a branch of the Somali People in the Horn of Africa .They live mainly in Djibouti,in Ethiopia and the North of Somalia (somaliland state),in Zayla ,Lughaya and Awdal region.

  • ooh i miss my home, soomaliyaa illaaahow nabad banu kaa barinay,, aamiin,, i love this dance,, nooladaa soomalaay meelkasatad joogtaan.

  • good dance from zaylac capital of gadabursi empire

  • The irony to this dance is that it was to please Arab rulers of Zeila, now in Somaliland. We never done anything for our own good just as the majority of leaders today work for foreigners based in Washington or Brussels. Somethings never change.

  • Zaylaci is danced all over somali speaking lands but it originally started in the town of Zaylac in North Somalia/Somaliland.

Large Djibouti community also lives in Zaylac so it spread to the other regions. The dance only began in the 1940s.

  • This dance is a Soomaalian traditional dance from Soomaaliya.. viva Somaliyaaaa

  • woooooooooooow jecliya Sayliciga thanks hassanahmedw
