I am born and raised in Canada, but every time i see this i have tears running down my chicks, i realize that i come from a country that shed blood for their independance. R.I.P for all them souls that gave their life for a better place for Bangladesh.

@MrRazakar: I can give you a small list with just one name....my father's name. Do you think numbers, statistics, percentage matter to me? My loss was 100%.....I lost my FATHER.
And yes, India helped too soon...every family should have fought for or lost someone and then, they would know the price of the motherland paid for with the blood of the martyrs.

well i think you have been misled.The sense of Bengali brotherhood in Bangladesh is more than any other place in South Asia.Being a 2nd generation Bangladeshi outside Bangladesh, I know this is a fact because I do not see that Bengali brotherhood in the West Bengali diaspora in here.Beside we are the only ethnicity that have carved out our own country, nlike any other ethnic community in the whole subcontinent. Bengali culture in Bangladesh is blend of culture, tradition, religion and struggle.
