All credits to Cohen for "writing" this song, no doubt o' course. But it's not coz he wrote the original song, it's by definition the best version of the song? I admit, it has a certain atmosphere, but nothing compared to Buckley's version.
Pretend Buckley's version was the original and Cohen would have covered this one, I guess many more people would have said "Omg Cohen, what the h* are you doing? Abusing Buckley's wonderful song?"
Ocourse, that's just my opinion :-)
