This is part 3 of 5 of my first live show ever. As I said in the intro this song goes out to everyone who ever listened to me sing (including you youtubers). So THANKS! This song also pays tribute to Johnny Cash, John Denver, and Hank Williams Sr.

About the song:
I was on the 7 train and saw some guy playing the song "friend of the devil". Great song....and I wrote the 1st verse of this, had it bouncing in my head for a wile, the finished it. I think it's got a nice sound to it...let me know what you think.

Instead of a chorus I "borrow" lyrics from other songs. I used parts of Walk The Line by Johnny Cash, Rocky Mountain High, and I Saw The Light.

Hear are the lyrics/chords if you wanna know:

The guitar man on the 7 line and his song then he sang mine
I had no change to give to him pulled out a twenty said play again
and I missed my stop to hear him sing but I heard that song again
I wonder what became of my guitar playing friend

Well he had no stage to play guitar but he played it like a star
he took some old familiar tune and he played it like something new
cus I know I heard that song before but it didn't quite sound the same
amazing what I heard from that guitarist on the 7 train

Well I bet he changed around the song but he made it all his own
They should put him on the radio of give him a TV show
And I still think back to when I heard the guitar man play his soul
So I sing this song for people every place I go

  • Love your music. Sick guitar. Did I hear "Queens College"? Shouldn't you be playing the Ramones? You should be fronting a band.

  • @TheSpider9000 Thanks...and built the guitar myself. Yup Queens College.... I like country music, don't know why but I do....guess I was born and raised in the wrong part of the country. I've been trying to start up a band. Problem is, hard to find any good musicians in this area that have my taste in music. Thanks for the comment. Glad ya liked the song.
