This is April Gosling reading the poem "Chicago Parliament of Rooks" on September 20th at the Mercury Cafe in Denver, Colorado. This was her second reading for "Poetry for those Unable to do a Cartwheel". As my grandfather always used to say "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story". April tells good stories.
The one thing that strikes me about this poem is that when I visited Chicago my favorite building was the Rookery. Also, the heart painting on the pedestal was made by her sister Meaghan.
