*IMPORTANT* Okay, to all you people who are complaining that I stopped and didn't tell you like one or two notes at 0:50 in this video, all you gotta do is look at the frets where my fingers land and rewind if you don't see it the first time. It's easy as that. So stop leaving comments talkin about that. This is a lesson on how to play the Top Gun Theme Song originally by Steve Stevens in the Top Gun movie. And don't forget to post a video response of your version.

  • "To be honest if someone can't work out how to play this bit by ear they shouldn't bother with the guitar as they are probably tone deaf" -Ignitionnet

That is probably the worst comment I have ever seen on Youtube

If someone has a passion or likes to express themselves through an instrument, it doesn't matter if they are "tone deaf". Music is a way to express yourself, and if you say that people shouldn't even bother with it if they lack talent, you really need to get your priorities strait.

  • everything except the bit at 50 i can understand, its not where your fingeres go its how you do it.....can someone help me with this, he hits

    7(3)- 5(3)- 5(2)- 7(3)- 5(2)- 6(2)???????

  • I agree with meanstreet. I can't play this by ear but I can come up with my own tunes that have proper melody so clearly I'm not tone deaf. Just because you can't play something right off the bat doesn't mean you're tone deaf. Santana had to learn somewhere just like Hendrix and Vaughan.

  • Funilly enough Mozart was tone deaf.

  • forget him he dosent have a wamy bar so cant do the effects so ya
