JOHN LABATT CENTRE TOPS BILLBOARD MAGAZINE'S 2010 TOP VENUES
The John Labatt Centre finished 2010 as Canada's top grossing facility for venues between 10,001 and 15,000 seats, according to Billboard Magazine's year-end rankings (December 18, 2010). The rankings are based on gross ticket sales from non-sporting events.
The John Labatt Centre also finishes 2010 as the fourth highest-ranking North American venue and ninth highest grossing venue worldwide for venues its size.
At the end of 2009, during Billboard Magazine's decade-ending issue, the John Labatt Centre finished the decade as the ninth highest grossing venue of its size worldwide based on similar gross sales. This is a remarkable achievement considering the arena did not open until the fall of 2002.
In 2010, the John Labatt Centre was also awarded the Canadian Venue of the Year at the Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards.
London Mayor, Joe Fontana was pleased to offer his congratulations on another outstanding year.
