@Mikelovision Celebrated his birthdays? You mean the birthdays AFTER his death....yea, that's what I thought. What does the Jackson movie have to do with anything; which ha nothing to do with MJ, but was made by Jermaine. Michael made MTV, but MTV didn't make Michael as the album was huge years before the videos were even made to be turned down on MTV in which at the time BET did not even exist so kick rocks with that...

@Julius333 - "who were slandering MJ? MTV, VH1, CNN, yadda yadda,"
Is that why VH1 and MTV celebrated Michael Jackson every time it was his birthday, by playing his videos? Wasn't it MTV or VH1 who premiered "The Jacksons: An American Dream?" Not BET. MTV did more for Michael Jackson than any other station. Without MTV Thriller wouldn't be as successful. At the same time, without Michael Jackson MTV would have became irrelevant and died out early on.

@Julius333 That's easy to say in 2012. In 2003 Michael Jackson was the punchline of everyone's joke, especially in the black community. I'm not going to be narraw minded and say that EVERYONE in the black community turned their back on Michael, but there was a change of heart from most. Like I said, who attended his trial dates? Those were mostly white people and people from other countries. The US did disconnect from Michael Jackson after a while.

@Mikelovision Now that's a load of bullshit, the Black community never ever left Michael. They were their since his Jackson 5 days an never looked back. When you look at the trials for the false molestation charges who were slandering MJ? MTV, VH1, CNN, yadda yadda, but the one channel that everyone loves to critique is the the one that never in it's history broadcasted anything negative on Michael was BET which says everything as all the companies are somehow tied to Viacom.

@wwwTHENOIREFFECTcom Lets forget the comedians. Musicians were calling Michael Jackson crazy. Now THAT'S disrespectful. People, of all races colors and professions, were calling Michael Jackson out of his name. I do agree that most people had a type of "Herd Logic," created by the media. Although Michael Jackson never turned his back on the black community, they definitely turned his back on him, overall. It was mostly white people supporting him during the trials.

@Mikelovision Forget the comedians. A lot of peoples perceptions of MJ were developed not from seeing him as a human, but seeing him dehumanized in the media. I'm not for group think.
People love to forget the good things and dwell on the negative. This was a positive brother.
