Digitech Moded Bad Monkey (Badder Monkey), (Hot Bananna)

This is the Moded Digitech Bad Monkey. One heck of a pedal and really enjoyable to play. Hopefully my demo gives you an idea of just how great this thing can sound. The sound truly has more bass and a much more trasparent tone by taking out the mid hump. This will beat a tube screamer over the head with a bananna if you choose to do so. Hope you enjoy.

I have both and in my opinion the BM did not need more low end since it already had more than it needed. What the mod did do was to give it more clarity and less of a scooped sound. I am personally fine with or without the mod, but overall it is the best OD pedal on the market...and for only fifty bucks. Go figure. Digitech got it right......

@deadbeatdad Orginally it was a great pedal. However, with the mod, you are right it is much more clear and transparent. When it comes to more bass, its nice to have the extra oomph when using, say a strat or tele to get a really bluesy sound. It is an extra amounta bass one that can be turned down so, I dont think it does any harm at all. Just add a nice touch to a single coil pickup

Does this mode involve the changeing of many components for better ones? cause I think that woul be a great idea. And nice sounding peavy!

my main amp is a vinatge fender twin halfstack. The peavey is my backup but moded it does sound great.

Thanks for the demo. I've wanted to hyear this mod. Do any companies do this mod? Also, any chance of A/B'ing against a stock BM?

I do this mod, and no as of right now no I dont have an A/B but perhaps in the future.

It seems to give the pedal a bit more grit and sounds much better but is the crackly noise a result of the mod or is it coming from somewhere else?

I have found this thing is okay from the factory, I just want true bypass. It suuuucks my tone.
