  • @bergi85 Hey, Thanks for the info. Yeah, well my shin splints have got significantly better over the last 3 days. I rested for the 6 weeks thinking that they would just heal themselves buti've learnt that if you really want them gone then you're going to have to ice them and stretching of the shin and calfs. I done those and my shin splints have almost gone, i can still feel a minute tingle but thats it. I also have high arches :/

  • Shin splints suck!!!

  • @Milrevcom No they haven't gone away, but i haven't been resting like I should. I did get orthopedic inserts for my dress shoes (I wear business clothes to work) and they seem to help. I have high arches and my dress shoes don't have any arch support. So that seems to help me. I may end up taking the next month off and working the lower leg muscles out and stretching them out. I hope that helps.

  • @bergi85 I have something similar. I've had my shin splints for the last 6 weeks and im big runner. I was advised to rest and thats what ive done and even tried icing a couple of times but they haven't gone away. Have yours gone yet? I really need them to go away

  • I have been playing basketball five days a week for the past year and a half and recently I have been getting really bad shin splints to the point where it is painful to walk. I want to get back to playing, but every time I start the pain is too much. Could that be something more serious than shin splints?

  • @bokkoa1 day.then when ur icing them n heating them like

Kind of put ur foot up and down exercise like style. till they tense then when it tenses lock it hold it for

15-20 secs keep doin that too.but make sure u end da cycle in icing cuz it swells down faster.

  • @bakkoa1 man it's gunna be harder to heal if it's in ur inner.I had it on both sides and it took 9 months to heal.and how he tells u to cross ur legs and wit baby oil go back n forth for inner do the same .and do this ice them and then heating pad them then ice them then heat them again then ice them.do that exactly how I told u should see some progress.but I mean ice like stick ur shins in a bucket of ice water for bout 1 hr then heat them for 1hr then massage then do it 2 more times in da da

  • the pain i have is not on the other side of the shin bone it is on the inner side what can i do
