LBJ STANDS SHOULDER-TO-SHOULDER WITH FDR AS ONE OF THE TWO GREATEST PRESIDENTS OF THE 20TH CENTURY. HIS UNYEILDING BATTLE TO SECURE CIVIL RIGHTS FOR AFRICAN-AMERICANS IS ONE OF THE MANY THINGS FOR WHICH THE NATION OWES HIM A GREAT DEBT OF GRATITUDE. IN LIFE HE DID NOT RECEIVE THAT RECOGNITION. PERHAPS NOW WE WILL BEGIN TO TRULY HONOR HIM. I TRULY HOPE SO.

"... we will not turn aside until Americans of every race and color and origin in this country have the same right as all others to share in the process of democracy." NO MAFIA THUG HAS EVER SPOKEN SUCH TRUE AND ELOQUENT WORDS. The LBJ haters on this page know he had nothing to do with any assassination. The LBJ haters also know that JFK could never have passed this bill. You KNOW these things yet you hate him for not being Kennedy. I love him for doing more than Kennedy ever could have.
