This is a classic Indo-European dance. They generally involve ensembles of this type. Balkan cultures seem to have preserved this better than many other ones.

Stop all this and that stole this and that. The richest folklore is in the Balkans, and you know why that is? Because it’s been a cultural melting pot. Take the rich folklore of the Balkans as a gift… there is no such thing as pure anything especially when it comes to music and dancing.

I like it!

This is embarrassing

I hear similarities to Romanian, Armenian, and Middle Eastern folk music. Considering how many peoples have lived and cross through the Balkans, it could be possible that all kinds of musical influences have been picked up by all of these groups, all influencing one another...Just my opinion.

Osmanian Influence? yove got no idea.
This is Bulgarian. Its a fusion fo Thracian and Slavic. The Osmans were only shitty invaders which were smited to the ground after 500 years of slavery.

Wow, how cool. the stick dance seems very similar to the stick dance of iran. Anyway, I don't know why people are calling this dance a "turkic" or "slavic" dance. this dance has been practice in Bulgaria since the time of Thrace and Getae and looks like no turkic dance. thanks for the beautiful dance.
