In this week's web design video blog, Nick and James demonstrate how you can create a simple, dynamic PHP menu that highlights the page of the website that you are currently browsing. You can find the supporting blog and ZIP file at http://www.crearedesign.co.uk/blog/videos/php-current-page-highlight.html

  • Well I have two questions for you guys. Let me gets say that I'm going to my local community college in the USA to become a Web Designer/ Graphic Designer. Here are my questions:

    1. What type of computer system are you using?

    2. Did you guys got toughed how to use php in college?

    3. What is the programs name are you using? (like adobe suite ect...)

For question number two, I need to know because where I'm going to my community college I can not find out if they do teach php.

  • @MorrWind120 Here are our answers to your questions:

    1. Nick and I (James) both use Apple iMac computers.

    2. Both Nick and I were taught basic PHP at University, however we are mainly self-taught.

    3. We use Adobe Creative Suite 5 (Web Premium).

    4. My best advice for learning PHP or MySQL yourself, is to get a good book that starts with the basics.

    James.
