D.P. Alternative Energy Designs (D.P.A.E.D.) is entering into the Pepsi Refresh grant program for a $50,000 grant to further our research into petroleum free alternative energy solutions.

We are a non profit organization dedicated and determined to finding a solution to our current energy crisis which has been underscored by the recent BP Gulf oil disaster off the coast of Louisiana. Profits generated from sales of hydrogen units, EV conversions and other technologies will be donated to other charitable organizations in the form of energy efficient portable gensets that can be used by the United Way and Red cross to help in disaster areas where power is desperately needed. We will also be donating converted EV's to low income families struggling with their fuel bills through The Good News Garage.

@Royaleah When it comes to alcohol and gas comparison, its not the mileage that matters but the fuel that is being used. Our system will include an apparatus to make your own fuel at virtually no cost after equipment investment - fully freeing the user from the pumps.

There is simply no comparison, and it is us who will be laughing past the gas pumps. Mark my words, this will happen or I will die trying. I will have the last laugh in this life or afterwards.  Yuck it up while you still can.

@Royaleah HHO enrichment implemented on a properly tuned engine has been PROVEN to increase fuel mileage, not only in the lab, but in real world applications. I have posted several videos on this, including supporting scientific papers. My own tests are conclusive and cannot be effectively challenged.

In summary, you are wrong about HHO enrichment and I have proof, and I would rather get 50MPG on cellulose alcohol than 100mpg on gasoline. .....

@Royaleah You are correct about gas vs. alcohol. No argument here. But alcohol is close to carbon neutral. It is a renewable fuel and burns cleaner than gasoline. Using it can eliminate dependence on oil companies and foreign economies. Our idea does not interfere with food production, rather enhances it. I see nothing funny with reducing our enslavement to oil.

Your lack of understanding of electrolysis and what hydrogen enrichment does to the ICE is what is truly funny. ....

@EletrikRidesAgain The gasoline and alcohol comparison had to do with the energy that you get out of the two. You burn more alcohol to get the same amount of power that gasoline would give. A car running alcohol gets worse mpg vs a car running gasoline. '30mpg vs 20mpg'

On board electrolysis will further reduce you mpg, by adding more drag on the engine than you can get back. That is conservation of energy.

What chemical is undergoing electrolysis not water?

It is just funny.
