best version ever.

@1993tdr I completely agree with that it's a great cover, but reading the Master & Margarita at the moment, I have to disagree about that an emotional Lucifer would be odd. He's quite the contrary, very moved by peoples situations and predicaments! Of course those are very superficial emotions, but nevertheless, emotions!

i like them both..

Cool story bro. Meanwhile, I'll still think it sucks.

I actually like this version, it's different. Sure, nothing will beat the Stones, but this is a different take. Some have slagged this version off for lacking emotion, but I think that adds to the appeal of it. Given context, you wouldn't really want an emotional lucifer would you? The emotionless approach works IMO. And tbf, who wants to hear a cover that tries badly to sound like the original? Tiamat made this their own.

Nothing can top the original, but if you're somehow into the music of Tiamat (like me) then this cover is really nice, because it remains in the atmosphere of the band. Furthermore, I strongly believe the Tiamat is praising the Stones by covering this song. I can't imagine that it's in their intention to rape something they want to celebrate. So, if you don't like it - which is fair - just turn it off. I like this cover.
