Fuego Azul (Silk Road)

A live document of Shoehorn with the Hatband plus guitarist Toshi Onizuka of Shoehorn's Trio Calzador on guitar and Gordon Lee subbing for Dan Gaynor on the keys. It was recorded by a friend in Chinatown in Portland, Oregon in October 2006. The composition Fuego Azul(Silk Road) is featured on several recordings and is based on an original
set of tones from the electronic MIDI tap dance instrument built by Shoehorn. The instrument is called the Tappercussion Mark VII e-tap MIDI controller and allows a tap dancer/percussionist i.e. "tappercussionist" the ability to play a wider variety of sounds while retaining the classic tap shoes-on-wood
