This video includes various tactics that one can perform with Fox in Super Smash Brothers Melee. Some of these skills are considered staples in the metagame while others are purely for entertainment. Everything in this video can be performed in-game without any external assistance or equipment.

Explanations:
Same Color Glitch: Select the desired character and color you want to play as and confirm this selection with the A Button using Controller 1. Then, have the other player (Controller 2) hover over the same character, but with a color one selection away from the desired color (press X or Y once to do this). Do not confirm the selection yet. Now, Controller 1 has to press B at the same time Controller 2 presses either X or Y to select the desired color. If performed correctly, both players should be hovering over the same character with the same color. Both players can now press A to confirm their selection.

Corneria Secret "Taunt": Press down on the D Pad for one frame. If the attempt is successful, Fox will go through a short animation and the others from the Star Fox team appear to speak shortly after. Parameters:
-Must be Fox
-Must be in Corneria
-Only occurs once per battle

Zero Gravity: This works at high percentages. Characters must have some obstacle in the way to keep them from losing a life while they float. Simply hit a character with a high percentage straight up multiple times and the game glitches, making the character float for a brief period of time.

If there are any further questions regarding the content of this video I will address them to the best of my ability.

  • Can you explain how you did all of these?

  • @Puppylover96

The reason I abstained from explanations is because a heavy amount of the material is contingent upon previous knowledge of players and their level of involvement in competitive play. For example, consider "waveshining". All it consists of is a "shine" and then a "wavedash", but if you do not know what either of those terms are, the explanation means nothing. Try looking certain things up. If you are still confused, I will be more than happy to address specific questions.

  • what map is that at 2:09

  • @xXfagbagsXx

That is the short illusion being performed in the Past Stages - Kongo Jungle.

  • @Kerocola

How do you unlock it on melee?

  • @xXfagbagsXx

In order to unlock Past Stages - Kongo Jungle, you have to complete the 15 Minute Melee [the mode with the Fighting Wire Frames]. An easy way of doing this is using Donkey Kong and spamming his Down + B move. It isn't failproof, but it will more than likely be sufficient to help you win.
