Tibet before 1950 was a “backward society” and its institutions were imperfect.
No one ever said Tibet before 1950 was a paradise.
I don’t think any Tibetan, inside Tibet or outside, even in their wildest dreams, would want to restore the old system intact.
But I have managed to transplant this old system to Dharamsala where I am still the God King of my serfs!
On the other hand, the Chinese government’s widespread claims that old Tibet was a kind of hell are completely true.

@mylifefornarzo, WinduWarrior
how do you know about the situation in tibet?
If you have been there and what you've been telling here is the truth, PRC won't even let you leave China alive then
if you have been there and what you've been telling here is NOT the truth, then I shall call you Mr. nd Mrs. Liars
if you haven't been there, but just heard things from Western medias and his holiness, I would suggest you to check out your brains, see if doc can find the trace of detergent
Sincerely

@WinduWarrior If you really want to know about the relationship between Nazism and Tibet, do a search on the topic and find out why the Nazis so admired the Tibetan political system.
When the Chinese Communists invaded, the rivers were so full of bodies that at some points they became clogged. In Lhasa, the people were bombarded with tanks and artillery. The bodies of horses, dogs, people, old and young, were put into a big pile, and kerosene was poured on them, and then they were set on fire. The children cried, and cried, everywhere was the endless crying of the children through the day and through the night.

@mylifefornarzo unfair! it is more than that. The destruction of monasteries, the banning of the tibetan language being taught, the kidnapping of the 6 year old panchen lama, the brutal slaughter of protesters. The chinese are doing in tibet what hitler did in europe t the jews only much slower and subtler.
