(See http://powerpivotpro.com for more PowerPivot content.)

Using PowerPivot to build a report that lets users "slice" sales data by the temperature range being experienced by customers on the date of the sale, at the location of the sale.

Mashups like that - where data from a corporate data warehouse is "mashed together" with data from another source that would never be found in a corporate db - are one of the strengths of PowerPivot.

  • Excellent tutorial! Couldn't figure how to workaround the "no grouping" limitation when it was as simple as creating a new range variable!

  • @zimbadoo Glad you liked it :)

  • I second Benjy0238: Thanks for this PowerPivot Lesson, which is a bit "foreign" now, but in the near future we'll use on a regular base.

    This is very cool!

  • Excellent demo here. I especially like how you build up your solution step by step.

    Thanks!
