I was half expecting him to say something silly just to make people laugh (not the that speech of the "nazi" wasn't ridicule the regime enough just by pointing out the truth about it) and I was obviously wrong, I am really impressed by what he said, it's definitely an amazing speech

Chaplin later wrote that he spent close to a month writing this speech, to make certain that every word was worthwhile, and that no one could ignore the message of the speech.
