  • Is there a pc version of the arcade classic?

    I'd like to know

  • Yes, from memory they released a PC version and a SNES version. Graphics aren't as good because dedicated hardware tends to be much more powerful. I've never played a PC version and wouldn't know where to get it - but if you're lucky it may now be abandonware?? Also, you could run Raiden on your PC using MAME.

  • cute little arcade cab ;)

  • Thanks!~~ Actually I've completely rewired this cab and installed Sanwa competition buttons and joysticks. One day I'll review some more shmups and show the upgraded cab.

  • Where's the best place to buy PCBs on the internet?

  • eBay and local private sales (listed on forums etc.), international shipping and insurance can be a bitch.

  • I like raiden 2 better than this are there tree weapons in raiden 1 red blue and purple or are there just two

  • Great review! Keep it up!

  • I thought the restart on checkpoint option was a dipswitch setting, but nonetheless, good review. :)

Also, you can beat both of the tank bosses on Stage 1 without them even shooting their spray shot if you use vulcans and nuclear missiles properly.

  • This is my favorite arcade game of all times. Spent hours and kilos of coins playing this baby and now I have a very nice set of memories from those days. Thank you so much Seibu; thank you Pata and Eira for excellent dual-playing too!

  • I just got the PS2 port of Raiden III. I was surprised that it allows the player to use a vertically-oriented monitor. I took it to the extreme and lifted my heavy-as-I-dunno-what Philips 20" flat-CRT TV AND SET IT ON ITS SIDE.

I would fare better with an LCD TV, but nonetheless, exhilarating.

  • i was lucky to find this game at flea market for 5 bucks in pretty good condition

i luv the raiden series , i got part 3 on ps2, i need to get me xbox 360, to get raiden 4

  • What! About The New USA Version Raiden 1 Arcade PCB Hardware from Fabtek License

  • I was lucky enough to get this game on Craig's list in excellent shape for $25.. I couldn't have been more happy... The question I have is , Are all these Raiden 1 pcb's jamma boards? I thought of possibly swapping for other jamma boards I have seen but to me doesn't look like the rest of the jamma boards that I see for sale at times or connectors.. I think 1990 was pretty early on for jamma boards, are they the same? Thanks, and still loving my $25 craig's list treasure.. Shawn

  • dunno if someone said this already but the powerup pickup comes from raiden 2, however the none checkpoint continue was present in version 1 =D Btw how did you get the cabnet and the board? (btw if you wanna get good at it just keep on replying the level =P I love the first level because i can play it by heart without dying =P but i've yet to beat it still
