Another film of 15mm scale live steam Londonderry and Lough Swilly Kerr Stuart tank engine No9 with stock from the Burtonport extension. This loco has been beautifully lined in the early Swilly livery, and has a radio controlled chime whistle fitted. At the end of the film are a couple of short clips of a non-Irish visitor to my line - a 16mm scale model of Taliesin with a nice train of Festiniog stock - the loco had to work hard pulling these coaches, as the low lying bodies dragged on the undergrowth.

  • Is this a scratch build?

  • Yes - but not by me - the builder is John Campbell.

  • Subbed. Very impressive - and the garden setting is pretty good too! But some of us take our live steam inside. Check out the indoor Kent & North Wales Light Railway here on Youtube.

  • fantastic sounding whistle!
