this is hannan's worst downfall! i agree with his every sentiment, however here he and i differ slightly.... i agree the nhs has become a national disaster! once the envy of the world, now the butt of her jokes! full of middle management and quangos etc one can now obtain IVF on NHS, or have one's excess fat trimmed or have a nose job, but you can't get the cancer treatment to save your life, readily available privately, or lottery postcode etc etc, it's fucked but in principle can work the best

He is saying that such a system shouldn't have been set up in the first place because it is grossly inefficient. I like having an NHS and I think it would be a tragic shame to lose it, but free at the point of delivery is a stupid way to set up a health system.

@MrGilles1990 So how many is "a lot"? How at 20 could you afford to go to France and have 10 lots of medical care which would not come cheap unless mummy and daddy were subbing you? The French system like the US system are the ones under the treat of collapse.The NHS is excellent value for money and given that no health care in the world can ever be perfect gives excellent results. The French system is better than the UK system but costs a lot more to run. The US system is worse than both.

NHS needs radical reform, this 20th century model just won't work.

I researched and i found out that the NHS wastes millions and millions.

Semi privatisation is needed.

I have been 10 times to France for treatment, very good treatment as well.

And at the age of 20 how many illnesses have you had that required you to go to France for treatment and how could you have afforded to pay for them unless you like Hannan had been born into great family wealth?
