Two young juveniles have been observed creating underwater bubbles with their blowholes, then using their rostrums to manipulate and play with the bubbles -- spinning them, making them smaller and larger, swimming through them, and popping them!

This is a phenomenon that has intrigued scientists watching dolphins in the wild and now is fascinating millions of guests here in our park.

  • @theladygold good thing you stopped smoking, but yeah it's supposed to be the same physical phenomenon of fluid dynamics (at least that's what wikipedia tells me) but it's probably more stable because of water tension that creates the bubble.

  • fake

  • When I used to smoke.... I could blow smoke rings. I suspect it's the same concept, but underwater the rings hold together better.
