After carefully listening to this song in clinical trials, my data show conclusively that the Smiths are far more effective than Placebo. The only notable side effect appears to be involuntary movement, typified by tics like the subject (me) snapping their fingers, tapping their feet or breaking out into dance. No need to ask your doctor if the Smiths are right for you, just go get their albums.
(These statements have been review by the FDA and they all pretty much agree that the Smiths rock.)

Johnny Marr is a fantastic guitarist.

I definitely prefer Smiths' version but there's a tiny part of me that likes Placebo's version. I love this band so much

@EMABand1 I wanted it to be a girl too XDD

@JordanHenshall it was about 60/40 in morrisseys favour, however there are about 15+ songs where marr wrote all the lyrics and every piece of music, shoplifters of the world is 100% marrs work

@MilkoLouka they are just fans who performed a song they love and I think they did nice
-
@Hapworth1924 And it blurred again when Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke sued them in the nineties because they claimed to have written a part of the music.

@zirstoren Placebo ruined this song

The last silent minutes at the end of the song are made on purpose in order to think about how fucking great the song was.
