Children's March Against Racist US Immigration Laws

LOS ANGELES - Hundreds of Mexican and "Central American" children marched through downtown Los

Angeles Sunday afterboon to protest "racist immigration laws and racist deportations." The children

and their familes marched approximately four blocks, from Olvera Street to City Hall.

They carried signs declaring "We Are Not Illegals!","Legalization...No Deportation" and "Keep

Families Together".

Many children carried signs saying "Don't take my parents away from me!"

The marchers arrived at City Hall whereupon several speakers demanded that children not be torn

apart from their families through racist deportation tactics.

One speaker read aloud the United Nations Declaration of Children's Rights, emphasizing that all

children have the right to be with their parents.

The only problem here is the law that makes these ANCHOR BABIES citizens. If they want to stay with their parents they should be deported WITH them. Because they're illegal immigrants, not because of race. You have to prove this is about racism before tossing that word around as if you just learned the race card for the first time and can't get enough. I remember that day when Mexicans were asked not to work. That day happened and I asked myself why all those people who bitched about Mexicans taking jobs didn't show up at labor sites. I mean those who are American and on welfare or getting somekind of govt asst. Why not give back to your country and get A JOB!
