Yeah, it's a spaetzel maker, but you're not doing it right. You're supposed to push a little through and then cut it off across the bottom with a knife, forming little pieces of dough about an inch long or less. You're making spaghetti.

You can find the little makers amazon for around 10 dollars. Or you can push it through a colander bits at a time ( but for 10 bucks, get a maker.)
