I had the chance to observe the Emden Ostfriesland Germany Fire Dept train some of their new firefighters, in training similar to our Firefighter 1 training. In this segment the young firefighters are practicing drafting water from their harbor to an engine to a gated Y to a Foam Nozzle

To work in Training with Foam in at not allowed,only in Fire Training Centers.Backgound is that the Foam is hazardous to the environment.Because this is it only allowed in areas where the Water and Foam get seperated with a Seperator.Because the strong environment restrictions in Germany a Big Fire Training Center was build in Nederland.Rotterdam International Safety Center (RISC).
