Is it true that a critic once said his music was "more Korn than gold? Unfairly I might add. I like his works very much.

The full orchestral score to this work is a delight - a masterclass in orchestration.
This is one of the last great symphonic slow movements - a successor to the first movement of Mahler's Ninth and the adagio of Franz Schmidt's Fourth, and a predecessor to perhaps the final example to date of the genre, that of Malcolm Arnold's Fifth.

JC.. Hi, I have discovered in the last two months the Korngold's Concert for Violin (on channel Mezzo) and thought I could surprising to you.. but .. Not! .. is impossible for anyone to find a composer you have not already discovered .. Anyway, I recommend the Violin Concert. It is absolutely spectacular. And thank you as always by your big job. I had omitted to mention that It is indeed the 3rd movement of his symphony. I have therefore modified the title accordingly.

As far as I know, Korngold only wrote one symphony: the Symphony in F sharp major that I have just uploaded (slow movement)
