@CultOfMetal Yeah but after 84 this whole Glam vs Thrash thing started.

-- I agree with you, however this band is from 2008, not 1978, and even at that, they didn't have metal like this in the 70's. Metal really bloomed in the beginning of the 80's, having the hard rock/proto metal bands paving the way. There were bands that had a heavy sound, and some songs that were metallic (like Uriah Heep, for example), but they weren't metal. Try German bands from 82-84, real fist-pumping anthemic metal that you can fly down the highway to, or slam down a few beers with pals.

@CultOfMetal I wish it was still the 70s. The best decade for heavy metal. No stupid subgenres bitching at each other, no try-hard poseurs who just want attention, no stupid screaming, just metal!

@Ironjagg I get you man, theyre bringing HEAVY METAL back, whereas these supposed 'evolutions' in the genre are sucking the life out of it, and making MTV and clothing distributors rich in the process. If you don't get it, you never will, so go put on an oversized pair of headphones, crank up whatever flavor of the month you're listening to at the moment, & head over to Hot Topic before they run out of special edition Converse shoes.
